Irmo BSA Troop 312

How to Join

We're thrilled you're considering joining Troop 312! There are a few steps to complete before joining, if you have any questions feel free to contact our Scoutmaster at talin100@yahoo.com.

Membership in the Troop is available to any Scout that meets the age requirements. They must be at least 11 years old, have completed the fifth grade, or have earned the Arrow of Light Award after age 10. Once a Scout turns 18, they are considered to have aged-out of Scouting.

BSA Troop 312 is an exciting and active Troop. We invite anyone who is interested and eligible to experience one of our meetings to see what Troop 312 is all about. We meet every Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:30pm in the Episcopal Church of St. Simon & St. Jude at 1110 Kinley Rd. in Irmo. If you're interested in joining the Troop, we encourage you to reach out or attend one of the meetings and discuss any questions you may have with our Troop leadership.

Our meetings typically begin at 7:00pm with a brief opening ceremony, followed by a program designed and directed by the Scouts. Then, the Scouts have free time to play a game or work on merit badges and rank advancements. Finally, we have a closing ceremony at 8:30pm. Parents and guardians are invited to visit with their Scouts, and are encouraged to attend any meetings, campouts, and trips they'd like.

For your convenience, we've created a Troop 312 New Parent Guide. This Guide includes much of the information that a prospective Scout and their Parents or Guardians may want to know about Troop 312 when considering joining the Troop.
